Leica R5 is a 35mm film SLR camera with electronically controlled metal-blade focal-plane shutter. Two exposure measuring methods (selective and integral) combined with aperture-priority, shutter-priority, variable automatic program and manual modes. TTL flash exposure measurement and automatic switching to "X" when using system-compatible flash units. Electronically-controlled shutter speeds from 1/2000 sec. to 15 sec. "X" = 1/100 sec. for electronic flash synchronisation. Diopter setting from +2 to -2 diopters. Interchangeable focusing screens. Removable camera back and connection for cable-free Data Back. Automatic-frame counter. Film cartridge window.
Takes all Leica R-system lenses.
