The E-PL2 is the creative camera designed for the photographer who wants a high degree of control in a light-weight compact system camera. With new standard kit lenses that utilise MSC technology for super-fast and silent auto-focus, its Art Filters can be used in full manual exposure mode, and several can even be combined or varied in intensity. Its top shutter speed of 1/4000th second and maximum ISO of 6400 provide enhanced performance, with a large three-inch LCD screen that features a high resolution of 460k pixels for superb clarity.

New and improved kit lenses
The E-PL2 now ships with a completely updated 14-42mm (28-84mm) standard wide-angle zoom lens that features MSC (Movie and Stills Compatible) technology for silent, speedy autofocus with extremely smooth continuous focus quality. In the twin lens kit configuration, the latest M.Zuiko 40-150mm telephoto zoom lens uses the same technology for enhanced focusing performance

True SLR quality imaging
An updated 12.3 megapixel LiveMos sensor with enhanced light-sensitivity combines with Olympus' highly regarded TruePic V image processor to capture photos that rival the clarity of 16-18 megapixel SLR cameras. Sharp, richly textured images can be printed as large as 20x24 inches; which also means tremendous freedom in cropping your shots

New generation Art Filter technology
Why restrict yourself to taking normal looking pictures when your next shot can be stylish and arty? The new creative Art Filter system in the E-PL2 takes Art Filter technology to the next level. You can now use Art Filters in Manual exposure, Program automatic, Shutter Speed and Aperture priority exposure modes. Key popular filter effects can now be varied in intensity as well as combined with other filters. Apply a distressed border frame in combination with each filter. Each Art Filter effect is applied in real time so you can see what your final picture looks like when you're composing the shot. A new Dramatic Tone filter lets you take HDR-like pictures

Expanded ISO range and a higher top shutter speed
The E-PL2 has a expanded ISO range of 6400 that lets you capture pictures of great clarity even in low light conditions. A new mechanical shutter helps you freeze fast moving action even better with its 1/4000th second top speed

Enhanced user experience
See better. A large 3 inch LCD screen with 460,000 pixel dots provides a high-resolution experience for picture composition and playback. Change settings quicker with the new rear control dial that also functions as a convenient four-way button pad
