Leitz came out with the Leica M4-2 in 1977 after having ceased production in 1975 of the Leica M4 and in order to meet the continuing demand, especially from professional photographers. It's a modified version of the old M4. The main differences are that it had no self-timer but did have a hot shoe and was predisposed for use with a motor drive.
